Fathers Day Fun in the Valley

FATHERS DAY FUN IN THE VALLEY

Father’s Day is coming up this weekend and thankfully there is lots of Father’s Day Fun to be had around these parts.  Hopefully you have already secured a gift, filled out the card and the kids have crafted something at school.  Now you just need to figure out what you will get up to this Father’s Day weekend in The Fraser Valley.  Here are a few of our ideas.

FATHERS DAY FEAST

Start the day off with a hearty breakfast…because we all know that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.  Okay, not necessarily but who can resist this Father’s Day Frittata for breakfast.  Especially when it’s made with local ingredients.

FATHERS DAY ON THE FARM

First stop EcoDairy for some fun on the farm.  Take an EcoDairy tour (Dad’s are free) and meet the cows in the barn then head on over to the petting zoo to meet the baby goats, the pigs, the turkeys and calf.  When you find yourself at the Ice Cream stand why not load up on Ice Cream and walk around back to the picnic area to, behold a stunning view of Mt. Baker, see the flock of FreeBirdEggs chickens roaming the range, and find the animals in the back paddock.

After your time spent on the farm head into Natures Pickin's and pick up supplies for dinner including local, farm fresh HANKS Grass Fed Beef available exclusively at Natures Pickin's.

FATHERS DAY AT FIELDHOUSE

Like we need a reason to park ourselves on the front lawn of our favorite watering hole.  Most Dad’s I know would be thrilled for a little pit stop here along with the rest of the family because there is something for everyone at Fieldhouse. And why not fill up a growler so you can enjoy that HANKS beef with a beer.

FATHER’S DAY FISHING

Back by popular demand is the at the Abbotsford’s Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery.  Take the whole family on a fishing adventure because as they say ‘Give someone a fish, feed them for a day. Teach someone to fish, feed them for a lifetime.’

We hope you enjoy some fun this weekend and HAPPY FATHERS DAY from all of us here at the farm.
