Canada Day in Abbotsford!

Canada Day in Abbotsford!

Hooray! Hooray! Its Canada Day!

Sunday July 1st is Canada Day and Abbotsford has a lot of fun stuff planned.

Parade & Party

At 11:00am the Prospera Credit Union ‘Made in Abbotsford’ themed Canada Day Parade makes its way down South Fraser Way beginning at Ware Street and finishing down Trethewy Street at Mclure Road.

The parade includes lots of community floats, classic cars, emergency vehicles, and fun street performances.  There will be festivities following the parade at Abbotsford Exhibition Park Rotary Stadium which include the Main Stage and Family Fun where you can enjoy performances, fun community activities and food truck eats etc.  The night finishes with a fireworks display at dusk.

Down on the Farm at ECODAIRY

Escape the crowds and stop in at the farm because after all Abbotsford’s all about farming.  Visit the EcoDairy, tour the barn, meet the cows, feed the animals in the petting zoo, grab lunch at Nature's Pickin's and enjoy a picnic in the park, visit the u-pick for fresh, no spray blueberries in the field and treat yourself to ice cream afterward at the Ice Cream Stand which will open daily 11:00 – 6:00 from July 1st until September 3rd (Labor Day).

Up the Street at HIGH STREET

High Street over in West Abbotsford is getting in on the Canada Day celebrations with High Street Happenings.  From 1:00 to 4:00 it’s Party in the Plaza with live music by local talent Greg Neufeld, an extended Famoso Patio and lots of games, activities and prizes.

End with a BANG!

The nights festivities finish with a fireworks display at dusk at the Abbotsford Exhibition Park Rotary Stadium

Happy Birthday to you CANADA!

So whatever you get up to this Canada weekend, I think we can all agree that we live in a pretty great country that is worth celebrating!
