Halloween is upon us.

Hopefully your pumpkins are already carved, the candy is bought, the decorations are up and the costumes are ready to go.

All that is left is figuring out a game plan for Trick or Treating with the kids on Halloween night.

Here are a few local ideas for what to do and where to go on Halloween.

Halloween at EcoDairy

MOO or BOO tops our list. EcoDairy’s annual Moo or Boo event.

Rain or shine this is always a fun event which runs from 1:00 to 5:00 with lots of onsite activities including Science World demonstrations & experiments, games & activities, candy, Arts & Crafts by the Reach, Revival Arts Studio taking professional photos, prizes, tasty treats from Natures Pickins, live animals, spooky movies and new this year is an Artisan Market with local vendors…and did I mention candy and treat bags.  What’s Halloween without candy 😉

Halloween in the Country

Aside from the EcoDairy farm, the local pumpkin patches, corn mazes and haunted fields will be up and running if you prefer to cut down on candy collection and want to enjoy a spooktacular time.  Check out this list of must see pumpkin patches.

Halloween in Town

Halloween in Historic Downtown Abbotsford is once again happening.  You can navigate the streets and visit the shops that will be distributing candy to your little munchkins and I’m sure you can find a thing or two for yourself along the way.

In town as well the two biggest malls offer a safe and easy Halloween experience.  High Street is outdoor so you will need to factor in the weather but they always do a great job with their Land of Boo décor and they will host a Party in the Plaza and Seven Oaks shopping mall is big and dry no matter what the weather for their Bring Your Ghosties for Goodies event .

Neighbourhood Trick or Treating

After you visited all the places around town and in the country you can head into your own neighborhoods for community trick or treating.  Be sure everyone is dressed for the weather and wears reflective clothing, or carries glow sticks, headlamps or flashlights so they are visible on the streets. And when the candy bags are full and some treats are consumed be sure to remember to brush your teeth before bed. 🙂
