Make Memories, Not Trash!
We accumulate a lot of extra waste during the Christmas season, with all of that gift giving and eating. The amount of curbside garbage rises, old electronics are tossed out more often during the holidays and many people aren’t aware that the foil-type wrapping paper can’t be recycled!
Instead of dealing with wrapping paper, ribbons and bows try some more natural options this year! Trash is for Tossers features a guide to zero waste gift wrapping for some inspiration.
Pictured is a gift wrapped in cloth with real greenery and vintage earrings as embellishments. Isn’t it beautiful!? Photo from Trash is for Tossers.
Another fun alternative is to use the comics section in your newspaper or even old sheet music or maps found in thrift stores! Or if you enjoy doodling use some plain brown paper and colour patterns and designs to create something more unique.
