The Night Before Christmas at EcoDairy
Twas the night before Christmas,
And all through the barn, not a creature was stirring, except for Houdini the Mouse.
The ornaments were hung on the Christmas tree from (Bough & Branch Christmas Tree Farm) with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.
The orange kittens were nestled all snug on office chair beds,
While visions of chicken treats danced in their heads.
And the cows in the barn, and EcoDairy staff in their homes,
Had settled inside with great cheer, reading poems.
When out on the grass roof there arose such a clatter
Everyone sprang to their windows to see what's the matter!
The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow,
Gave the luster of mid-day to the farmyard below;
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature horse, a donkey, and two medium goats,
With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than buzzing bees his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and call’d them by name:
“Now! Angel, now! Darla, now! Ebbie, and Allie,
“To the top of the barn! to the top of the stall!
“Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!”
Merry Christmas from the EcoDairy Team!
