FAQs

Q?

What is included with my admission to EcoDairy?

A.

Admission includes the following:

  • An animated movie narrated by Vicki the Cow, our EcoDairy mascot.
  • Self-guided time in our Discovery Centre with hands on exhibits including our amazing milking cow and much more!
  • A guided tour through our barn. Learn all about what our cows eat, where they sleep and our on-site anaerobic digester!
  • A visit to our robotic milker Robbie! Learn how the cows at EcoDairy are milked whenever they want.

PLUS! Don't forget to wander our Animal Exhibit, make a stop at our ice cream stand, wander our park and picnic grounds or pick to your heart's content in our U-Pick.

Q?

How much time should we plan for our visit to EcoDairy?

A.

We suggest a minimum of 45 minutes for your EcoDairy experience, typical visitors spend one hour or more on their visit.

Q?

What times are tours available?

A.

Dairy barn tours depart hourly. During Summer hours, our first tour begins at 10:30AM and our last tour leaves at 4:30PM. On Sundays, tours begin at 11:30AM.

We suggest arriving 30 minutes prior to the tour departure to provide adequate time for check-in, the movie and time in our Discovery Centre.

Q?

What should we wear?

A.

EcoDairy is a working farm so boots or closed toed shoes are recommended.

Warm coats in the winter as our cows love the cooler temperatures, and it can be chilly in the barn.

Don't forget your sun hat for the park.

Q?

Is the tour self-guided?

A.

During your visit to EcoDairy, some portions are self-guided (the Discovery Centre) and some portions are led by our knowledgable Guest Experience staff (the barn and the robotic milker observation room).

Q?

Can we milk a real cow?

A.

Unfortunately, no. Our cows are trained to be robotically milked and so do not take kindly to hand milkings. We do however have our incredible milkable demonstration cow Vicki in our Discovery Centre and you can also watch the EcoDairy cows being milked by Robbie our robotic milker.
